Conference 'Languages and Genes', University of California Santa Barbara, 2006 September 08-10 

The organizers of the conference ''Languages and Genes'', to be held at the University of California Santa Barbara September 8-10, 2006, wish to inform those interested in joining the audience of the conference that a limited number of places are available. Further information on the conference is available on the conference web site: http://www.linguistics.ucsb.edu/projects/Languages-and-Genes/.

Those wishing to attend are asked to contact Lea Harper (leaharper at umail.ucsb.edu) at their earliest convenience; in the event that the number of those wishing to attend exceeds the number of spaces available, requests will be dealt with on a first-come-first-served basis. There will be a registration fee of $60, which covers the registration materials, opening reception, and refreshments.

There is limited accommodation available on campus. The conference website has specific information on accommodation packages. Contact Lea Harper if you are interested in reserving a campus room. Once these are filled, participants will be asked to find their own housing in local hotels. Information can be found at www.santabarbara.com.
