Description:

The Philosophical Faculty invites applications for a temporary tenure as an
Assistant Professor for General Linguistics
limited to 3 years (with the possibility of an extension for up to 6 years).

The holder of the post will be expected to represent the field of General
Linguistics (with the emphasis on linguistic typology and description of
non-European languages) in research and teaching.

Qualified applicants must have the Habilitation or qualifications equalling
those of a Habilitation. The University of Zurich seeks to increase the
ratio of women in research and teaching positions and encourages qualified
female scientists in particular to submit their applications.
