Description:

The neurolinguistics lab at the University of Potsdam, Germany, is pleased
to announce a new position for an assistant professorship (Juniorprofessur,
W1) with tenure track on the Neurocognition of Language with a focus on
Neurolinguistics.   
The position and a yearly budget are financed for six year by the
"Stifterverband für die Deutsche Wissenschaft" and the
Claussen-Simon-Foundation. Prerequisites are an outstanding Ph.D. obtained
within the past five years and considerable Post-Doc-work. Applications
from candidates with a Ph.D. from Potsdam university cannot be taken into
consideration. 
Successful applicants should be able to combine newer techniques of
functional neuroimaging with theoretical models from cognitive
neurolinguistics and thus provide an interface between experimental human
sciences and medicine.  
The assistant professor will have the opportunity to be involved in a
number of ongoing interdisciplinary cognitive projects and initiate new
projects. He/she is expected to offer neuroscience courses in our
international Masters and doctoral programmes. Excellent teaching skills, a
strong publication record, previous demonstration of funding and
international and practical experience will all be considered advantageous.
