SCONLI- A two-day student conference is being conducted by Central 
Institute of English and Foreign Languages. This conference will give 
students of linguistics an opportunity to present and discuss their research 
work. 

Call for Abstracts

Abstracts should be sent to sconli06 at gmail.com on or before 15 October 
2006. Only abstracts of original research work in the following areas will be 
considered for review:

1. Generative Syntax;
2. Semantics;
3. Phonology;
4. Morphology;
5. Psycholinguistics.

Notification of Acceptance/ Rejection of abstracts: 10 November 2006.

Papers are invited in all areas of linguistics.  In addition, the College of
Arts and Sciences at Oakland University has announced next year's 'Celebrating
the Liberal Arts' theme,  'Global Citizenship',  which will give the campus a
chance to take a closer look at the sociological, cultural, linguistic, and
economic dimensions of globalization, including topics like bilingualism and
English as a global language. Papers relevant to this theme are especially
welcome and, if there is sufficient response, we will group the papers together
into a special session for the day.
