Description:
We're creating an audio dictionary with spell-check (for LeapFrog's FLY Pentop
Computer) and, while we have software engineers and algorithms in place (esp.
Levenshtein & Double Metaphone), we need someone knowledgeable in linguistics
and/or spell-checking to test and review the results (i.e. misspelling prompts
desired alternate, 'inersha' returns 'inertia') that various combinations return
and help us identify which and adjust for the types of misspellings not
returning the desired results.  We have a PC engine built that allows the tester
to enter a misspelling, select algorithms and search for the desired word by
distance, frequency or both.  We have a very limited processing power
environment (up to 12KB RAM) and need help fine tuning and balancing the
spell-check algorithms for best results within it.
 
OK to work on or offsite!  Telecommuting is no problem.
