The Department of Spanish and Portuguese at Georgetown University is
pleased to present the first issue of the online GULLP journal at:

http://www8.georgetown.edu/departments/spanport/GULLP/index.cfm

We would also like to announce the second Call for Papers of this journal
and invite students coming from all areas of specialization in
Luso-Hispanic Linguistics to participate. The aim of GULLP is to serve as a
meeting point for graduate students, providing them with an annual
publication where their working papers can be given feedback from peers, as
well as from senior researchers, and serve as a yearly electronic venue to
make their research public.

The paper submission deadline will be February 23rd, 2007. Your proposal
should describe original, unpublished work that may be in progress. Authors
are limited to a maximum of one individual and one joint submission (papers
co-authored with faculty will not be accepted). Submit your paper as a Word
file (i.e., 'surname'.DOC or 'surname'.RTF) to gullp at georgetown.edu
with 'paper submission' in the subject field. The paper should be
anonymously submitted and abide by the following specifications: (see Style

http://www8.georgetown.edu/departments/spanport/GULLP/images/GULLPAbstractStyle.pdf).
Include your name(s), title of the paper, affiliation(s) and contact
information in the email body and indicate what area of linguistics your
contribution fits in best: Phonetics/Phonology, Foreign Language
Acquisition, Syntax/Semantics, Historical/Dialectology, or Sociolinguistics.
