The editors of the Journal of English Linguistics are pleased to announce a
new annual feature of the journal. In each December issue, the Journal
will publish an interview with a scholar whose work has had a large impact
on English Linguistics.

For our inaugural interview, Matthew Gordon spoke with William Labov. The
full text of the interview is available for free download from SAGE, the
journal's publisher (http://eng.sagepub.com/cgi/reprint/34/4/332) and will
be available through February 2007.
