The Subject Centre for Languages, Linguistics and Area Studies, part of the
United Kingdom Higher Education Academy, maintains a Good Practice Guide,
containing commissioned and reviewed articles on teaching various aspects
of linguistics, from articulatory phonetics to typology. The Guide is freely
available at:

(With apologies to those who tried to access the Guide in November when the
above posting was first made and the website was experiencing technical
difficulties. The website is now running normally.)
