Conference Objectives:
MCR 2006 is devoted to the study of cross-cultural understanding with a 
clear humanistic emphasis. It aims to promote the exchange of research 
findings among graduate students in the related fields of Philosophy, 
Arts, 
Linguistics, and Literature.

Conference Themes:
The conference theme for this year is modern cross-culture research, 
which 
includes:
-         Aesthetics and/or Art History
-          Chinese Literature Studies
-          Culture Policy
-          Literature and Theory
-          Performance
-          Race, Class, Gender in Literature
-          Social Criticism and Culture Studies
-          Cross-Cultural Communication

Submission Procedure:
Submissions of abstracts will be invited for 20-minute presentation 
(followed by a 10-minute discussion).  We welcome studies on the 
conference 
theme or any topic related to or integrating the following areas, 
Philosophy, Linguistics, Arts, and Literature.  Please send your 
500-word 
abstract as an MS Word or PDF attachment to our e-mail address:  In the
