Description:

The Department of Linguistics at Yale University expects to make an
appointment at either the tenured or the non-tenured level in the field of
Computational Linguistics and Natural Language Processing, with particular
attention to the computational modeling of cognition in the domain of
language and related faculties, effective as of the academic year
2007-2008. Candidates at the junior level should be assured of completing
the requirements for the Ph.D. by the summer of 2007 at the latest.
Particular consideration will be given to candidates with broad scholarly
interests, including qualifications in one or more of the core fields of
Linguistics, or in related areas of Cognitive Science such as Language
Acquisition or Psycholinguistics, and who have a demonstrated commitment to
graduate and undergraduate education.
