Description:

Job Title:  Dari/Pashto Linguist (10021-06)

Job Description: The Dari/Pashto Linguist shall have, at a minimum, 10
years transcription, translation, interpreting or other language-related
experience.  Level 3/3, as measured by the Defense Language Proficiency
Test or equivalent, is required.  Personnel in this category will, at a
minimum, have extensive experience in language, literature, linguistics,
related humanistic fields, and have accumulated seven years cryptologic
experience. Dari/Pashto Linguist shall have an excellent command of the
foreign language and the specific knowledge, talent and skill necessary to
function independently.  Performance at level 3 required for all tasks.
Individual must perform at final Quality Control level for some voice and
graphic tasks.

Required Skills:  Availability for extensive travel is required

Education:  Bachelors degree is preferred but not required.

Location: This full-time position located in Columbia, Maryland.

Positions require a TOP SECRET security clearance, based on current
background investigation (SBI), as well as the favorable completion of full
screening polygraph.  Clearance and polygraph processing will be completed
by the U.S. Government.
