Description:

The Psycholinguistics Lab is part of the Dept. of German Language and
Linguistics. The successful candidate will be expected to teach
introductory courses in psycholinguistics as part of the B.A.-Program
'German Language and Linguistics' and graduate courses on speech production
and language processing as well as the major aspects of multilingualism. He
or she will conduct original research in the fields of language processing
(production and/or comprehension) and/or multilingualism including
languages other than German and English. The position was created to
strengthen the scientific capacity of the Psycholinguistics unit of the
department and its involvement in the university's Interdisciplinary Centre
of Semantics and other research networks of the university.
Candidates are expected to have a strong background in experimental
psycholinguistics. They must hold a Ph.D. in linguistics or
psycholinguistics and they are expected to be trained in experimental
paradigms, especially in the application of neurophysiological methods.
They are expected to have published in the field of experimental
psycholinguistics. They should be fluent in German, which is the main
language of instruction.

Applicants must meet the requirements imposed for 'Junior Professuren'
(roughly equivalent to Assistant Professor) by
the law of the State of Berlin and by the constitution of the Humboldt
