Description:

The Department of Foreign Languages & Bilingual Studies invites
applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in ESL/TESOL,
starting in fall 2007. ABD with concentration in TESOL, Second Language
Acquisition or Applied Linguistics required, Ph.D. preferred. Teaching
responsibilities of this position include ESL and TESOL courses in our
MA-TESOL program, and ESL endorsement program. This position also involves
supervision of student teachers. Successful experience in ESL/EFL courses
and ESOL teacher preparation programs required. Experience in US-based K-12
highly desirable and a central focus of search. Experience with
CALL/teaching technologies also desirable. Previous overseas teaching
experience/knowledge of a foreign language expected. Ability to work
permanently in U.S. required prior to first day of employment.
