Description:

Tenure-track assistant professor and director of a Spanish language program
that teaches 5000 students each year. Specialization in applied linguistics
and second language acquisition. Responsibilities include TA training and
coordinating first through third year Spanish. Appointment to begin Fall
2007. Ph.D. degree required. Native or near-native command of Spanish and
English. Strong research profile, dynamic classroom teacher, and energetic
colleague. Teaching load: three courses a year (over three quarters). Under
exceptional circumstances candidates at a higher rank may be considered.
