Description:

The Program in Linguistics and Cognitive Science at Dartmouth College invites applications for a 
tenure track position in Sociolinguistics or Anthropological Linguistics at the rank of Assistant 
Professor to begin July 1, 2007. Candidates are expected to hold a Ph.D. degree by Fall 2007, 
have a solid, well-defined research agenda, as well as be able to teach a broad range of courses 
at the undergraduate level.  Top consideration will be given to those candidates whose research 
is informed by the collection of primary linguistic data from lesser studied or endangered 
languages. 

Interviews will be held in January 2007, at the LSA meeting in Anaheim. Dartmouth College is an
