Description:

The Humanities Division and the Department of English invite applications
for a term position in Applied Linguistics with expertise in English as a
Second Language to begin July 1, 2007.  We seek a scholar qualified to
teach undergraduate courses in applied linguistics and to serve as liaison
between the linguistics program in the College of Arts and Sciences and the
College of Education and Human Development ESL teacher certification
programs.  Administrative experience and interest in grant development
desirable.  This term appointment is for one year with the possibility of
renewal contingent on availability of funding and satisfactory performance. 

Candidates should have a record of excellent teaching and demonstrated
ability in the field.  Teaching load will be 3-3; salary competitive. 
Ph.D. at the time of application preferred, ABD considered.
