Description:

The Department of Linguistics at the University of California, San Diego
invites applications for one (and possibly two) tenure-track positions in
the areas of syntax and/or semantics.  

The successful applicant will have a strong research program in syntax
and/or semantics from a typological or cross-linguistic perspective;
fieldwork on a language or languages is desirable. A PhD or PhD candidacy
is required and candidates should be able to demonstrate evidence of
research productivity, undergraduate and graduate teaching ability, and
extramural funding potential.  

Duties include research, undergraduate and graduate teaching, and
departmental and/or university service.

application, a current curriculum vitae, two representative publications
and three letters of reference, can be found at the application url listed

letters, should be received no later than December 1, 2007. 

Salaries are in strict accordance with UC pay scales. Non-citizens should
