Description:

Vacancy No: 100301

Applications are invited for a nine month Teaching Fellowship in the
Linguistics Department at SOAS, specialising in syntax and semantics.

The candidate will be required to teach Undergraduate and Postgraduate
classes and should have a sound background in general linguistics for
teaching purposes. They would be required to teach minimally one unit of
Introduction to Grammatical Structure (BA Year 1, Terms 1 and 2), half a
unit of Syntactic Structure and Semantic Interpretation (MA, Term 1) and a
further half unit consisting of EITHER Topics in Lexical Semantics (BA and
MA, Term 2) or Language and Meaning (BA, Term 2).

Teaching experience in a Higher Education environment and good
interpersonal skills are indispensable. The post commences in September 2007.

Salary scale: £23,612-£26,017 pro rata p.a. inclusive of London Allowance.
Annual leave is 30 days per annum plus statutory and bank holidays. USS
pension scheme is available.
