Description:

The English Department at UNH seeks a part-time instructor to teach one
section of Introduction to Linguistics in Fall 2007.

Instructor's responsibilities include meeting the class for 3 hours each
week, holding at least one office hour per week, preparing lectures,
assignments, and exams, and all grading for the class. 

Some prior teaching experience required, however, we are happy to provide
the instructor with existing syllabus, lesson plans, etc., given the late
date of this request.  A course description and recent syllabus are

The course meets Sept. 4 - Dec. 14, Tuesdays & Thursdays 2:10-3:30. There
is a possibility of beginning Oct. 16 and teaching only the 2nd half of the
course.

Compensation is $3500/course.  The course is capped at 35 students.

Interested candidates should have a graduate degree in Linguistics or a
closely related field as well as experience teaching at the university level.
