Dear Colleagues,

Her husband Darren has informed us that a memorial service for Carol F.
Justus will be held at the Central Presbyterian Church at 200 East 8th
Street (Austin, Texas) on Saturday, September 8, at 11:00 a.m.

***********

A gathering in memory of Win Lehmann has been planned
for Tuesday, August 28, noon-1:30, here at the University
of Texas. To mark that day, the flags on campus will be
lowered to half-mast, with explanatory cards displayed
nearby.

Any/all of Win's family members, friends, and associates
are invited to this event; selected speakers will say a few
words, and there'll be a display of Linguistics Research
Center mementos.

The room for the memorial observance is Prothro Theater,
located on the ground floor in the Harry Ransom Center,
where the LRC was located for many years. The HRC
building is located on the northeast corner of Guadalupe
and 21st St., on the main campus of the University. The
public entrance is on the east side of the building: enter
the doors, turn right, and proceed to the end of the hall
to Prothro Theater.

To convey plans to attend, or for answers to questions
etc., you may contact Jonathan Slocum via e-mail
(JSlocum at mail.utexas.edu), or by phone at 471-4566
(home: 328-0226).
