Meeting Description:
Laval University proudly presents the 22nd Journées de linguistique (JDL), an
international, multidisciplinary student conference organised by the Association
of Graduate Students Enrolled in Languages and Linguistics (AEDILL). The Journées
de linguistique will be held on March 28th and 29th, 2008. 

For the past 21 years, the JDL has given Canadian and International graduate and
post-graduate students an opportunity to both present and publish the results of
their research in all fields of linguistics. Humanities students whose research
focuses on any aspect of language are therefore invited to present their work.

Anyone interested in presenting a paper is encouraged to submit his or her
proposal before January 28th, 2008. Duration of presentations will be 20
minutes, followed by a 10 minute question period. Both the abstract and
presentation may be submitted in French, English or Spanish. Participants must
fill out the form entitled Formulaire d'inscription. A review committee will
examine presentation proposals. Please include a $15 check payable in Canadian
funds to the Journées de linguistique to cover registration and administration fees.

Following the conference, participants will be invited to submit an article for
publication in the conference proceedings. 

Instructions: 
- Send the form entitled Formulaire d'inscription along with two printed copies
of a 250 word abstract to the postal address below.

- Please also send your submission by email to the following address:
jdl at lli.ulaval.ca
- Include a $15 check payable in Canadian funds to the Journées de linguistique
(Foreign participants may pay their registration fees on site).
