Description:

The Department of Linguistics and English Language at Brigham Young
University announces a continuing status track, professorial position in
applied linguistics. To be considered, applicants must have professional
qualifications in one or more of the following fields:  TESOL,
psycholinguistics, sociolinguistics, forensic linguistics, corpus
linguistics, second language acquisition, discourse analysis, dialectology,
publishing and editing, or other areas of applied linguistics.  

The applicant must hold a PhD (or must have a completed PhD before the date
of hire). Primary responsibilities include teaching, research, and
publishing in an area of specialization appropriate to applied linguistics,
supervision of master's theses, and citizenship assignments. Starting rank
and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Brigham
