Description:

The Department of Linguistics and TESOL at UT Arlington invites
applications for Department Chair. This is a tenure position at the rank of
Associate or Full Professor.  Candidates must hold an earned doctorate in
linguistics or related field; and currently tenured and hold the rank of
Associate or Full Professor; and have a demonstrated record of
administrative experience commensurate with that of a department chair.
Candidates must also be pursuing a research agenda in linguistics or TESOL,
with a specialization in any area represented in the department's
curriculum, and experience teaching undergraduate- and graduate-level
courses. Familiarity with a non-Indo-European language and/or the
quantitative analysis in language study is preferred. A letter of
application, current curriculum vitae, and names of three references (at
least two of which who can speak specifically to the candidate's
administrative capacities) should be sent to:
