Description:

The Department of Linguistics and Germanic, Slavic, Asian and African
Languages at Michigan State University is seeking to fill a one-year
visiting faculty position at the Assistant Professor level, pending
approval of the Provost, to begin on August 16, 2007. Duties will include
teaching of Introduction to Phonetics and Phonology, Introduction to
Linguistics, Historical Linguistics, and possibly a topics course in the
visitor's area of specialization.  Primary area of specialization in
phonetics/phonology and PhD by time of appointment preferred.  

We will begin consideration of applications March 12, 2007. Send letters of
application describing experience and interests for teaching and research,
vita, and three letters of recommendation to the address below.  All
candidates will be kept informed of the progress of the search.  Persons
