To strengthen our young and enthusiastic R&D team in Europe, we are currently
looking for a

Text-to-Speech (TTS) Project Manager

Who will control  the creation of state-of-the-art voice for use with the
market-leading RealSpeak TTS engine. You will join the team in Merelbeke,
Belgium. 

Function:
This person will work on Text-To-Speech development projects. He/she will work
with people in several groups (linguists and engineers) and report to the head
of the department. In this function, he/she will also collaborate closely with
language specialist under contract. 

Profile:
•- university degree in computational linguistics, computer science or quivalent
•- experience in natural language and/or speech processing 
•- strong preference for candidates with (near) native knowledge of Japanese
or Chinese
•- fluent in English (company's working language)
•- good knowledge of phonetics
•- interest in other languages and their linguistic aspects
•- computer literate
•- good knowledge of and/or experience in one or more of the following areas:
  - speech synthesis
  - natural language processing
  - computer technology
  - programming 
  - other languages than English
•- ability to work in a team and independently
•- experience in project managament
•- perseverance, accuracy and thoroughness
•- good social and communicative abilities
