Dear linguists,

I am a PhD student planning a study on the use of prosody in non-native 
English listening. I would like to find an appropriate test of English 
proficiency to administer to the second language learners who will be 
participating in my experiment. I am planning to test high-intermediate 
and advanced-level learners of English. I was told that the MTELP (Michigan 
Test) is not good for these levels of proficiency. 

Could you please recommend an appropriate test of English proficiency for 
language learners that would allow me to distinguish high-intermediate 
from advanced learners of English, would test English grammar and would 
be fairly short (no longer than 30 min)?
