Meeting Description: 

>From Oral Corpora to Phonological Theories: The Case of French. (le français suit)

The primary objective of this conference is to explore the contribution of
corpus research (spontaneous speech, monitored speech) to the advancement of
contemporary phonological theories. Contributions on issues of French in contact
with other languages are welcome as are any proposals on the phonetic
description of French. This conference is part of the ongoing research
activities of the international research project Phonologie du français
contemporain (PFC).

Des corpus oraux aux théories phonologiques : le cas du français. L'objectif
principal de cette rencontre est d'explorer la contribution du travail sur
corpus (parole spontanée, parole contrôlée) à l'avancement des théories
phonologiques contemporaines. Les contributions portant sur la problématique du
français en contact avec d'autres langues sont aussi les bienvenues de même que
toute proposition traitant de la description phonétique du français. Ce colloque
s'inscrit dans le cadre des activités scientifiques du projet Phonologie du
français contemporain (PFC).
