We'd like to remind readers that the responses to queries are usually
best posted to the individual asking the question. That individual is
then strongly encouraged to post a summary to the list. This policy was
instituted to help control the huge volume of mail on LINGUIST; so we
would appreciate your cooperating with it whenever it seems appropriate.

In addition to posting a summary, we'd like to remind people that it
is usually a good idea to personally thank those individuals who have
taken the trouble to respond to the query.

To post to LINGUIST, use our convenient web form at

Hi everyone:

I am doing research on one of the quotative complementisers in Jamaican
Creole, and possible Niger-Congo or Hausa influences on its origin and
functions.

I am searching for native speakers of, or experts working on any of the
following languages to fill out a short questionnaire:

Akan, Efik(-Ibibio), Duala, Ga, Guang, Hausa, Ijo, Kikongo, Kimbundu,
Mandinka, Mende, Ngombe, Temne, Wolof.

The questionnaire comprises only 9 questions in all for which consultants
are asked to provide translational equivalents with inter-linear glosses.

If you would like to volunteer to participate, please contact me at
jtfarquharson at gmail.com or farquharson at eva.mpg.de

Thanks in advance.
