Description:
We have just obtained further funding for entry scholarships for our
postgraduate programmes:

MA Linguistics
MA Phonetics
MA Phonology
MA Pragmatics
MA Syntax
MSc in Speech and Hearing Sciences
MRes Speech, Language and Cognition
MPhil/PhD in Phonetics and Linguistics

A number of scholarships are available to those awarded a place on one of the
department's graduate degree programmes:

A.C. Gimson Scholarships in Phonetics and Linguistics: 
Two scholarships of GBP 1,500 are available for MPhil/PhD research in the
Department of Phonetics and Linguistics. 

Centre for Human Communication Award for Students of the MRes in Speech,
Language and Cognition: 
One award of GBP 500 is available for students of the MRes in Speech, Language
and Cognition administered by the Department of Phonetics and Linguistics on
behalf of the Centre for Human Communication. 

Departmental Awards for Graduate Students: 
Five awards of GBP 1000 are available for Master's and MPhil/PhD programmes in
the Department of Phonetics and Linguistics. 

Application Procedure: 
There is no separate application form. Applicants should write to Stefanie
Anyadi at the address below, indicating their intention to compete for the
bursaries and provide a short statement on why they think they are deserving of
a scholarship.
