I am interested in the acquisition of sluicing in Chinese by Japanese and
English-speakers. 

Sluicing, since Ross(1967, 1969), has been receiving much attention.
However, we are still not quite confident in the current literature,
although there are PF-deletion and LF-copying accounts. 

In the Chinese language in particular, the shi-support pertaining to the
wh-argument and wh-adjunct asymmetry seems to defy current theoretical
explanations. This makes it hard to have a sound arrangement of elicitation
and in turn a satisfactory analysis of the learner language data. 

There must be some sources or theories, but I don't know where. Would you,
who are better read, tell me where?

FOL: first order logic
DRT: discourse representation theory
GQ: generalized quantifier

I see this (translatability of Discourse Representation Theory into First
Order Logic) mentioned in many places.  But DRT does include generalized
quantifiers.  How can it still be first order with GQ?  And if it can be, how
is it done?
