The aim of the Official Masters in Applied Languages is to train experts in
linguistic and cultural mediation and education in multilingual contexts,
as society today requires professionals who can respond to the different
situations that derive from plurilingual and intercultural contexts in
different fields in the public or private sector, such as the education
system, the sanitary system, the legal system or the tourism sector, among
others. 

The Masters guarantees acquisition of professional competence in the world
of applications related to language knowledge:

- Mediation, planning and management of linguistic and cultural diversity.
- Communication management
- Linguistic consultancy  
- Translation 
- Publishing and publication services
- Language teaching and learning
- Advertising
- Tourism

Moreover, for those who wish, an introductory course on research related to
the fields mentioned above is also expected to be provided for students.
This introductory course can be completed with the Ph.D. programme of the
Faculty of Arts of the University of Lleida. Students who want to follow
the research itinerary will be able to integrate into the existing research
groups.
