Description:

The Chaire d'Excellence 'Ontological Structure and Semantic Structure' invites applications for a
Post Doctoral fellowship in semantics, metaphysics, philosophy of language, and/or philosophy of 
mathematics.

The project 'Ontological Structure and Semantic Structure' is a project in the interface of linguistic 
semantics, metaphysics (ontology), and the philosophy of mathematics. Its goal is to develop new 
interdisciplinary research in linguistic semantics and philosophy, especially ontology. The Post 
Doctoral fellow should have completed a PhD in either linguistics (semantics) or philosophy 
(metaphysics, philosophy of language, philosophy of mathematics) and have a strong interest in 
developing research in the interface. He or she is expected to take active part in the organization of 
workshops and conferences and should have a strong ability to contribute to a cooperative 
interdisciplinary environment. The position is initially for one year, but is renewable up to three

date for this position is October 1, 2007.
