Join the TOEFL (R) iBT Speaking and Writing Program!

The TOEFL (R) iBT program is a comprehensive assessment of communicative
competence that includes all four English language skills: reading,
listening, writing and speaking. ETS is currently hiring qualified
individuals to score the writing and speaking sections of the new test.

Rater Qualifications:
1.  Teachers and individuals currently residing in the United States with a
bachelor's or master's degree (preferred) from an accredited college or
university, or other ESL certification (TEFL, CELT, DELTA).

2.  Two+ years experience in the teaching of English as a second language
(high school or college level preferred), or experience assessing written
or spoken English language skills.

3.  Applicants who are non-native speakers of English should have lived in
an English speaking country for more than a year and must submit one of the
following for review:
  *  Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) scores
  *  Test of Spoken English (TSE) scores
  *  Test of Written English (TWE) scores

Rater Tasks:
Raters will score spoken or written constructed responses for the TOEFL (R)
iBT program using a computer from their home or office. Raters will
evaluate examinees' responses by using the Online Scoring Network (OSN) system.

Rater Training:
Approved applicants will self-train using the online tutorial followed by
certification. Successful certification is required to become a rater.

Work Schedule and Compensation:
Multiple TOEFL iBT rating sessions will be scheduled throughout the year.
Approved certified raters will work in four-or eight-hour increments and
earn $18 per hour.
