Description:

Institut Jean-Nicod (CNRS, Paris) expects to offer a 1-year post-doc
position in formal or experimental semantics/pragmatics, to begin in
January 2008 or relatively shortly thereafter (the applicant's PhD should
have been defended and filed by the starting date). The net salary will be
of approximately 2,060 euros/month. 

The post-doc's primary responsibility will be to conduct research in
semantics/pragmatics (on the theoretical or experimental side) within a
project on presuppositions funded by the European Science Foundation.  S/he
will also have minor organizational and teaching responsibilities. 

Institut Jean-Nicod is a member of the Department of Cognitive Studies at
École Normale Supérieure, which also includes dynamic groups in
psycholinguistics (LSCP) and philosophical logic (IHPST).  The post-doc
will help foster interdisciplinary collaborations between linguists and
psychologists, as well as philosophers of language and/or logicians.
