Call Deadline: 15-Oct-2008

Meeting Description:

Participantes confirmados:
Bossong, Georg (Zürich)
Fischer, Susann (Stuttgart)
González Vilbazo, Kai (Chicago)
López Carretero, Luis (Chicago)
Mensching, Guido (Berlin)

Conferences of series ''Cognitive Modeling'' have been held with success since 1998. In 2000 the direction was specified as ''Cognitive Modeling in Linguistics'' (CML). In 1998 and 2000 CML conferences were held as a part of the National Conference on Artificial Intelligence (CAI). In 2001- as a part of the International Congress on Artificial Intelligence (ICAI-2001), which took place in Divnomorskoe (Russia). In 2002 the CML conference was held in Divnomorskoe as a part of the IEEE International Conference ''Artificial Intelligence Systems'' (IEEE AIS''02). Since 2003 till 2005 the CML conference took place in Bulgaria (Varna and Sofia). In 2008 the Conference will take place in Bechichi, Montenegro.

The Program of CML-2007 includes Exhibition of Cognitive - Oriented Computer Applications and Linguistic Resources (organized by Moscow State Steel and Alloys Institute (Technological University)), Cognitive Science Workshop (organized by Psychology Department of Moscow State University), Tutorial in Computational Language Typology and Quantitative Comparativistics (organized by Institute of Linguistics of Russian Academy of Science).

The aim of the conference is to integrate the efforts of specialists in cognitive science, cognitive psychology, learning theory, neural networks, cognitive linguistics, knowledge engineering, semiotics, psycholinguistics, etc. The results are expected to contribute to the investigation of cognitive processing of language information.
