Call for Papers
Purdue Linguistics Association Working Papers
Vol. 1, Issue 2

Submission Deadline: June 6, 2008 @ 5pm

We are looking for papers in any area related to linguistics, including,
but not limited to:
-	Phonetics
-	Phonology
-	Syntax
-	Semantics
-	Sociolinguistics
-	Psycholinguistics
-	Historical Linguistics
-	Anthropological Linguistics
-	Computational Linguistics
-	First Language Acquisition
-	Second Language Acquisition
-	Second Language Writing
-	Speech and Hearing Sciences

Formatting Guidelines
-	Word document format (.doc)
-	12 point font, double spaced, Times New Roman
-	Include a cover sheet with the following information:
-	Name as it will appear in the publication
-	Affiliation
-	Email address
-	The length should not exceed 30 pages including references, tables,
figures, appendices, etc.
-	Tables, Figures, Graphs, etc. should be sent as a separate file as image
files (.jpg) 
-	Footnotes/Endnotes should be at the end of the paper.  Please do NOT
embed them into the text using Microsoft Word auto-formatting.  
-	As this will be an anonymous review, please do not refer to your previous
publications in first person.
-	References should follow the guidelines set by APA
-	Please see Purdue's OWL site for help with APA guidelines:

Review Process
-	Double blind review
-	Your paper will be read by at least two reviewers for content, quality,
and relevance 

Please send your paper (cover sheet + 30 pages, including images) to Carly
Houston (ckhousto at purdue.edu) by June 6, 2008 @ 5pm EST.  Papers submitted
past the deadline will not be accepted.  You will be notified of your
acceptance by no later than July 4.
