We'd like to remind readers that the responses to queries are usually
best posted to the individual asking the question. That individual is
then strongly encouraged to post a summary to the list. This policy was
instituted to help control the huge volume of mail on LINGUIST; so we
would appreciate your cooperating with it whenever it seems appropriate.

In addition to posting a summary, we'd like to remind people that it
is usually a good idea to personally thank those individuals who have
taken the trouble to respond to the query.

To post to LINGUIST, use our convenient web form at
http://linguistlist.org/LL/posttolinguist.html.

Dear Linguist Members,

I am a PhD student researching the teaching of English pronunciation in
primary and secondary education in Cyprus.

I would like to kindly ask if you are aware of any literature available in
the area of pronunciation teaching in your country, concerning primary and
secondary education (in the context of teaching English as a foreign
language). I am primarily interested in European countries.

I would also be more than happy to forward a questionnaire to those of you
who are interested in participating in my study by answering questions on
teaching pronunciation practices concerning their country (if you indicate
your interest I will forward the questionnaire to your e-mail address).

Thank you very much for your help. A summary of all responses will be posted.

Marianna Kyprianou

P.S. If anyone is interested in preliminary stages of my study, you can
read a paper at http://www.phon.ucl.ac.uk/ptlc/proceedings/ptlcpaper_
