The 3-D International Conference on Linguistics will be held at Taganrog State
Pedagogical Institute, Russia, 05-07 June 2009. 

Call for Papers

The Conference to be held at Taganrog State Teachers' Training Institute,
Russia, 05-07 June 2009. Deadline 1 February 2009.
The conference covers all areas of linguistic interest and welcome papers from
all major linguistic subfields and frameworks, as well as from related
cross-disciplinary areas.
We encourage proposals from diverse theoretical frameworks and also welcome
papers on language-related topics from disciplines such as anthropology,
cognitive science, literature, neuroscience, and psychology.

We welcome discussions on a wide variety of issues within the general area of
language and cognition, and with particular focus on the areas of cognitive
linguistic approaches to language acquisition and the contributions of
psycholinguistics to linguistic theory.

The program of the conference will include plenary lectures, parallel sessions,
roundtable works and discussions on the following topics:
1) General Linguistics
2) Historical Linguistics
3) Pragmatics
4) Sociolinguistics
5) Typology
6) Computational Linguistics
7) Language contacts
8) Translation Studies
9) Text: stylistics, syntax
10) Language teaching
others.

Meeting Description:

The Symposium will cover a wide range of topics relating to current research on
Processability Theory, second language acquisition and bilingualism including
theoretical, empirical and applied issues. 

Call for Papers

Proposals for papers and posters on research related to processability,
bilingualism, and second language acquisition research are invited. Papers must
not have been previously published. Each author may submit no more than one
individual and one co-authored abstract. All submissions will be reviewed
anonymously and evaluated in terms of originality, clarity, and significance of
findings and conclusions. 

Papers will be 30 minute long (20 minutes for presentation and 10 for discussion). 
Posters will be orally presented, each in a 10 minute session (5 minutes for
presentation of either methodology or results, and 5 for discussion)

Submissions for papers and posters should include the following: 
1. Title of the paper, and abstract of 300 words (excluding references and title),
2. Name and affiliation of the author(s), 
3. First author's postal and e-mail addresses,
4. Type of presentation intended: please indicate whether your proposal is to be
considered for a paper, a poster, or both.

Deadline for abstract submissions: 01 March 2009
Notification of acceptance: 31 March 2009

Publication of papers: A selection of papers will be published. 

Registration is free, but you must register with Dagmar Keatinge
