Description:

The LADO TEFL Certificate is designed as a practical and thorough training
course to prepare new teachers for the ESL classroom as well as to enhance
the skills of experienced instructors. LADO TEFL trainees learn about a
variety of language teaching techniques and methodologies, in addition to
the rules and patterns of English grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation. 

Training sessions model the same student-centered classroom practices that
trainees should strive for in their own ESL classrooms, with a strong
emphasis on facilitating student participation and engaging in a variety of
learning activities. 
Each day, trainees apply this new learning to real classroom practice as
they team-teach guided lessons to a class of ESL students. Graduates leave
the program with confidence in their abilities to plan lessons and teach
classes ranging from beginner to advanced levels. 

The LADO TEFL Certificate Program is team-taught by two teacher-trainers
and one of these openings is now available.

- Compensation: $17-20  per hour

Requirements:
- U.S. Citizenship/Permanent Resident
- Bachelor's degree and TEFL Certificate required. Master's degree in
TEFL/TESL, applied linguistics, or master's degree with a TEFL/TESL focus
desired.
- Minimum 3 years of teacher training experience in the area of TESL/TEFL;
international experience strongly desired.
