This year we want to show you what your donations throughout the years have been 
able to do for those of us who are supported by your funding of LINGUIST. As you 
know, all the money you donate is used to support the grad students who work at 
LINGUIST and pay their tuitions. You may or may not have any contact with the 
crew members but you must be assured that it is a group of talented young students 
who are devoted to linguistics and to doing as best they can to provide a great 
service to the discipline.

We have asked some of the former LL crew members to tell us what they have done 
since they left LINGUIST. We want to show you what your donations have allowed 
these outstanding linguists do and achieve. Throughout Fund Drive, you will be 
reading about Lydia Grebenyova, Ljuba Veselinova, Dina Kapetangianni, Andrea Berez, 
Sarah Murray, and Naomi Fox.

We hope that you will notice how important your support to LINGUIST has been to 
allow these former crew members get to where they are now. We are proud of them 
for what they have been able to do and how far they have gone. We are also proud 
to see that LINGUIST has been a great influence on them since most of them donate 
themselves and help organize the grad school where they are doing their PhDs to 
contribute and join the Grad School Challenge each year.
