Meeting Description:

University of Iceland, 24-25 April 2009.
This workshop is being organised as part of NORMS research into syntactic
variation in Scandinavian. Its aim is to bring together researchers with a range
of views on reflexivisation and related aspects of grammar, including but not
limited to the role of syntactic domains, mood, tense, prominence, parsing, etc. 

Call for papers

Relating to Reflexives, NORMS Workshop
24-25 April 2009, The University of Iceland

Papers are invited on any topic that may further our understanding of
reflexives, even those that do not themselves directly address the topic of
anaphora. Please see the conference announcement for more information.

Abstracts should be submitted using the tool on linguistlist, by Wednesday the
4th of February 2009

relatedtoreflexives at gmail dot com. 

Abstracts should be no more than 2 pages, including references. 

It is expected that presentations will be 30 minutes each, with additional time
for discussion.

Meeting Description:

The first international bilingual conference on international academic mobility
took place at the University of Turku (Finland) in 2006. Throughout the
discussions at the conference and in the ensuing publications, it became clear
that academic mobility has matured into a legitimate research field in its own
right. We hope that this new
conference will contribute to further advance knowledge and practice in the field.

En 2006 était organisée à l'université de Turku (Finlande) la première
conférence internationale bilingue sur la thématique des mobilités académiques
internationales. Il s'est avéré durant ce colloque et au fil des publications
qui en sont issues que ce type de mobilité est en passe de former un véritable
champ de recherche légitime. 

Call for Papers

The second international conference on academic mobility. New researches
and perspectives
24, 25 & 26 September 2009, University of Tallinn, Estonia

Deadline: 15.2.2009

Submissions in English or in French are invited in the following categories:

(1) Research papers (20 minutes + 10 minutes for questions)
These papers should document established results and/or present theoretical
reflections.
(2) Presentations on work in progress (20 minutes + 10 minutes for questions and
comments from audience) These papers may address issues still being worked upon.
(3) Round tables (between 1h and 1h30)
Round tables may combine the two previous formats.

The author(s) should submit one 300-word abstract by e-mail (freder at utu.fi
and alexa at tlu.ee) by 15 February 2009

For round tables, please send one 150-word abstract for each paper as well
as a 200-word description of the round-table to freder at utu.fi and et
alexa at tlu.ee by 15 February 2009.

(3) Des tables rondes peuvent également être organisées (durée maximale : 1h30).
Pour les communications, un résumé de 300 mots devra parvenir aux organisateurs

Pour les tables rondes, un résumé de 150 mots par intervention devra parvenir
aux organisateurs par e-mail (freder at utu.fi et alexa at tlu.ee) au plus tard le 15
février 2009. On y ajoutera un paragraphe de présentation de la table ronde
(environ 200 mots).
