We'd like to remind readers that the responses to queries are usually
best posted to the individual asking the question. That individual is
then strongly encouraged to post a summary to the list. This policy was
instituted to help control the huge volume of mail on LINGUIST; so we
would appreciate your cooperating with it whenever it seems appropriate.

In addition to posting a summary, we'd like to remind people that it
is usually a good idea to personally thank those individuals who have
taken the trouble to respond to the query.

To post to LINGUIST, use our convenient web form at

Dear all,

I'm looking for native speakers of English (in particular lecturers of
English speaking universities) who could help me and fill in an online
questionnaire about the strategies of address employed in academic
interactions among students and lecturers.

Your answers will help me to create an up-to-date picture of the address
practices among native speakers of English, which I would like to compare
with the patterns followed by students and lecturers using English as a
lingua franca in similar contexts of interaction.

If you have about 5-10 minutes to spare and want to contribute to my PhD
research project, please visit

http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.aspx?sm=39F22DXTZ_2fQVyeQDgnPDKQ_3d_3d

and follow the instructions to fill in the questionnaire.

Thank you very much for your help!
Maicol Formentelli
