Description:
The Duke University English Department is seeking a tenure-track assistant
professor in sociolinguistics. This position begins August 1, 2009. The
successful candidate must be able to develop and implement innovative and
challenging courses that are relevant to the undergraduate and graduate
programs in Linguistics and English. Areas of interest may include:
diachronic and/or synchronic approaches, multilingualism, culture and
language, linguistic approaches to poetics.
