Assistant Professor, Department of Speech-Language-Hearing Sciences in the
College of Liberal Arts at the University of Minnesota

Qualifications:
The Department of Speech-Language-Hearing Sciences in the College of
Liberal Arts at the University of Minnesota invites applications for a
full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor position beginning fall
semester 2009 (August 31, 2009).  Position requires expertise in one of the
following areas: augmentative and alternative communication and motor
speech; cultural or linguistic diversity and communication; autism or other
developmental disabilities; or language, cognition and neuroscience. 
Ph.D. in Communication Sciences and Disorders, Psychology, Education, or
other related discipline is required by the start date. 
Candidates will be evaluated according to the overall quality of their
academic preparation and scholarly work, evidence of research ability,
evidence of commitment to teaching and skills as a teacher, and strength of
recommendations.

Duties:
Faculty in the Department of Speech-Language-Hearing Sciences in the
College of Liberal Arts are expected to maintain an active program of
scholarly research; develop and teach undergraduate and graduate courses;
advise students; and contribute service to the department, college,
university, and profession. Salary is competitive.
