Meeting Description: 

The third edition of the international conference "Individual and Specific 
Signs" intends to combine contributions coming from different fields of 
reflection: Letters / Philology, History, Psychology and Sociology, 
Communication Sciences, Economic Sciences, thus leading to a multi- and 
transdisciplinary dialogue. On the premises of the new European context that 
reconsiders the unity in diversity and imposes the preservation of the identity 
marks, our conference also revolves around the idea of social corporatist 
responsibility, of a new identity and of a new civic image.

This is the reason why this year, through the general topic "Cultural 
Spaces and Identities in (Inter)Action", we suggest a productive discussion 
which has at its core the constant implications of the innovative ideas in 
literature, linguistics, arts, history, philosophy, communication sciences, all 
envisaged in the process of identity reconstruction. 

Conference Thematic Areas:

Paradigms of Identity 

-Praxi-theoretical perspectives in culture, language sciences, socio-political
sciences, history and philosophy;
-Identity - from the local-regional perspective to the European one; 
cultural interferences and forms of alterity;
-Representations of the urban discourse: linguistic perspectives, 
literary approach, communicational practices, organizational practices.

Tradition and Innovation in (Post)Modernism
-Literature between construction and deconstruction;
-"The linguistic turn" and its current implications in language sciences;
-Verbal and nonverbal signs in educational practices;
-Present-day theatrical forms; text and representation
-Corporatist social responsibility.

Linguistics and Cultural Anthropology
-Traditions and cultural institutions as a form of human action in the social space;
-Mentalities, attitudes and behaviour confronting the perspective of globalization;
-Verbal and nonverbal significant systems in a diachronic perspective
