Description:

The Department of Modern Languages is seeking to award a number of studentships
for doctoral research, to run for three years from October 2009 to September
2012.  In addition to their doctoral research, the successful applicants will be
required to teach French or Spanish Language (180 hours in each academic year).
Their tuition fees will be waived, and they will receive remuneration in the
form of a Postgraduate Teaching Bursary of £10,000 per annum.

To apply you must be:
- able to demonstrate outstanding potential for doctoral research in the
Department of Modern Languages at Exeter. (Normally, candidates will have
successfully completed a relevant Masters degree by the end of September 2009); 
- a native speaker of French and currently have an excellent command of spoken
and written French; 
- able to demonstrate willingness and aptitude to teach and assess
French/Spanish (written and spoken) to our undergraduates. (Students have
normally studied French for seven years at school.)
