The research institute for linguistics UiL-OTS of the University of Utrecht
(Netherlands) is happy to announce the following workshop:

Comparing Frameworks
24 - 26 September 2009

With the following goals:

1) Introduction to the following six grammar frameworks focusing on syntax:
- Head Driven Phrase Structure Grammar, - Optimality Theory, - Lexical
Functional Grammar, - Categorial Grammar, - Construction Grammar, -
Transformational Grammar

2) Comparing how these frameworks deal with natural language syntax.

3) Encouraging discussions on and between these approaches.
