Dialektforschung - interdisziplinär

Die Arbeitsgruppe wendet sich an Sprachwissenschaftlerinnen und
Sprachwissenschaftler, die sich mit Dialekten außerhalb des traditionellen
Paradigmas der Dialektologie (Atlas, Wörterbuch, Ortsgrammatik) im Rahmen
interdisziplinärer Ansätze beschäftigen. Dialektforschung kann aus dieser
Perspektive mit einer ganzen Reihe von linguistischen (Sub)Disziplinen sinnvoll
verbunden werden. Dabei erscheinen die folgenden - zum Teil bereits sehr
bewährten - Verbindungen besonders viel versprechend, ohne dass sich allerdings
die AG auf genau diese beschränken soll:

- Dialekte und Sprachtypologie
- Dialekte und Sprachlehr- und -lernforschung
- Dialekte und Translatorik
- Dialekte und Genderlinguistik
- Dialekte und Medienlinguistik
- Dialekte und Kulturwissenschaft
- Dialekte und ...

Ziel der Arbeitsgruppe ist, interdisziplinär arbeitende DialektforscherInnen mit
unterschiedlichen Schwerpunkten zu einen intensiven Austausch über aktuelle
Ergebnisse und Entwicklungen in der interdisziplinären Dialektforschung
zusammenzubringen und somit die Entstehung neuer disziplinenübergreifender
Forschungsaktivitäten zu befördern.

This workshop is intended for linguists who are engaged in dialects outside the
traditional paradigms of dialectology (i.e. making atlases, dictionaries, and
grammars of local dialects), but within the context of interdisciplinary
approaches. From this point of view, dialect research can be fruitfully combined
with a number of different linguistic (sub-)disciplines. The following ones-
some of them being well established- seem to be especially promising, even if
the workshop is not meant to be restricted to these approaches, but is open for
additional ideas:

- dialect and language typology
- dialects and language teaching and language acquisition
- dialects and translation
- dialects and gender linguistics
- dialects and media linguistics
- dialects and cultural studies
- dialects and ?

The aim of the workshop is to bring together dialect researchers working
interdisciplinarily and focussing on a broad range of subjects for a discussion
of recent findings and on-going developments in interdisciplinary dialect
research, thus promoting the possible emergence of new, cross-disciplinary
research activities.
