Description:

The Heinrich Heine University, Düsseldorf, seeks to fill a W-3
Professorship in Computational Linguistics, with emphasis on theory and
formal modeling at the Institute for Language and Information of the
Philosophical Faculty.

The successful candidate will be expected to cover teaching and research in
the area of computational linguistics in the linguistic Bachelor and
Masters degree programs as well as in a planned international Ph.D.
program. He/She should have a specialization in theoretically-oriented
Computational Linguistics and the formal modelling of various linguistic
levels. Experience in obtaining external funding is highly desirable. It is
expected that the successful candidate will contribute to the planned DFG
Cooperative Research Center SFB 800, which is planned to follow the current
DFG Research Group FOR  600 'Functional concepts and frames'.

Formal requirements: Habilitation or equivalent scientific
accomplishments,following §46 of the Northrhine-Westfalia University statute.
