Description:

Yale University expects to make a one-year visiting appointment for
2009-2010 in the area of Phonetics and Phonology, at the level of Lecturer
or (in the case of someone who holds an appointment in another university)
Visiting Assistant Professor. The appointee will be expected to teach two
courses per semester and to participate in the supervision of undergraduate
and graduate students as appropriate. Courses to be taught should include
General Phonetics and at least one term of an introductory phonology
sequence; additional courses will be arranged on the basis of the
appointee's research background and interests. Candidates should be assured
of having completed the Ph.D. by September, 2009. Prior teaching experience
will be an advantage.
